We had a main line drain clog under the house. Russell was our technician and approached the problem from outside the house, working retrograde from a trap in the front yard. I was skeptical but it worked when my efforts with a cable inside the house had failed. He was very professional and pleasant to deal with.  We asked him to install a cleanout closer to the house for future use and we were very satisfied with the work.

Tyler is the best! He came to our parent's house, knew exactly what the problem was, and explained it to us without the typical guesswork. I'd recommend him any time you need a good plumber.

The Benefits of Routine HVAC Maintenance

Prioritizing HVAC maintenance offers numerous benefits that can save you time, money, and stress. Here are some important advantages:

  • Increased Efficiency: Regular maintenance ensures that your HVAC system operates at peak efficiency. Clean filters, lubricated parts, and properly calibrated controls all contribute to a system that uses less energy to maintain your desired temperature. This reduces your utility bills and lessens the strain on the system, prolonging its lifespan.
  • Improved Air Quality: Dust, dirt, and allergens can accumulate in your HVAC system over time. Regular cleaning and maintenance help to keep these contaminants out of your air supply, improving indoor air quality and contributing to a healthier environment for you and your family.
  • Prevention of Major Breakdowns: Routine maintenance allows HVAC technicians to fix minor problems before they become severe. This is particularly important for avoiding unexpected breakdowns during peak seasons when you need your system the most.
  • Enhanced Comfort: A well-maintained HVAC system provides more consistent heating and cooling for your home or business. You’ll experience fewer hot or cold spots and more reliable temperature control, ensuring your comfort year-round.
  • Extended Lifespan: Taking care of your system and fixing minor issues fast will help you avoid premature air conditioning unit replacement and get the most out of your investment.

Signs That Your HVAC System Needs Maintenance

Even with regular maintenance, there may be times when your HVAC system requires additional attention. Here are some signs that it’s time to schedule a service:

We Provide Professional Plumbing & HVAC Services

Tailored services to meet your specific needs and budget, ensuring optimal performance and comfort.

  • Unusual Noises: If you hear sounds like rattling or squealing coming from your HVAC system, it’s a sign that something isn’t right. These noises can indicate loose or worn parts that need to be repaired or replaced.
  • Reduced Airflow: Weak or inconsistent airflow can be a sign of blocked ducts, a failing blower motor, or other issues that need to be addressed to restore proper function.
  • Inconsistent Temperatures: If some rooms in your home are too hot or too cold, it could be due to an improperly calibrated thermostat, ductwork issues, or other problems that require professional attention.
  • Higher Energy Bills: A major increase in your utility bills without an increase in monthly usage is an indication that your system is not operating efficiently and needs maintenance.
  • Frequent Cycles: If your HVAC system is turning on and off more frequently, it could point to a malfunctioning thermostat or other issues that need to be taken care of.

How Often Should You Service Your HVAC System?

The frequency of HVAC maintenance can vary based on several factors, including the age and condition of your system, how often it’s used, and the manufacturer’s recommendations. However, a general guideline is to schedule your maintenance services twice a year:

  • Spring Maintenance: Before the cooling season begins, have a professional HVAC company inspect and service your air conditioning unit. This ensures that your system is ready to handle the summer heat and operates efficiently throughout the season.
  • Fall Maintenance: Before the heating season starts, schedule maintenance for your heating system. This prepares your furnace or heat pump to keep your home warm and comfortable during the colder months.

In addition to these bi-annual check-ups, it’s essential to replace your air filters every 1-3 months, depending on usage and manufacturer guidelines. This simple task can significantly improve your system’s efficiency and air quality.
